Privacy & Security
Narrow Permissions
Onwan operates with a strict documents.currentonly scope. It can only
see the document you currently have open, and cannot access or search your Google Drive.
Transient Data
Your text passes through our systems transiently to generate a response. Nothing is kept after the answer is delivered — we do not log your content, or store it in any database.
Editorial Responsibility
Onwan is an assistant, not an author. You remain the editor: verification, fact-checking, safety and legal review stay entirely with you, the journalist.
Public Interest Model
Onwan is completely free to use, funded by grants to support public-interest journalism. There are no paid tiers and no credit card required.

How to use it

- 02ActivateOpen any Google Doc, go to Extensions → Onwan → Open Onwan.
